Credentials
Online media credential requests for the 2012 Chargers season are now being accepted.
Credential Criteria
The decision to issue credentials to a media outlet for the purposes of covering a San Diego Chargers home game is determined by a variety of factors. They include the following:
- Intention and ability to cover every Chargers home game including the pre-season.
- Amount of daily Chargers or NFL coverage provided in-season.
- Regular attendance at Chargers press conferences.
- Regular attendance at Chargers training camp.
- Amount of Chargers coverage during the season AND offseason
Applications must be submitted online from the Sports Director, Sports Editor or Photo Editor. Only media outlets covering ALL pre-season and regular-season games may apply for Season Credentials. Your application does NOT guarantee that you will receive either Season or Game-by-Game Credentials.
If you are not granted Season Credentials, your media outlet will be considered on a game-by-game basis. The Chargers reserve the right to deny any media outlet/person who does not meet Chargers Credential Criteria or (for Season credential applications) who does not intend to cover ALL pre-season AND regular-season games.
The Chargers do not credential freelancers, college media, or collegiate sports information departments.
Application deadlines are listed below. Game-by-Game credentials should be confirmed no later than Friday preceding Sunday games.
OPPOSING TEAM MEDIA:
Beat reporters for opposing teams visiting the Chargers should request credentials through their team's PR Department. Visiting team media should pick up their credentials directly from the opposing team's PR Director unless directed otherwise.

Media Will Call opens 4 hours before kickoff.
